People’s Petition for a National Review of Equal Opportunity and Reservation Policy
We, the citizens of India, reaffirming our commitment to the constitutional values of equality of opportunity, social justice and national unity, respectfully request an impartial, transparent and time-bound national review of existing reservation and opportunity-distribution policies.
Our peaceful and constitutional requests
- 1Constitute an independent national review commission including constitutional experts, economists, educators, social scientists and representation from all affected sections.
- 2Publish current, verifiable data on distribution of benefits, disadvantage, education, income, geography and inter-generational access.
- 3Adopt transparent periodic review and anti-misuse measures so that support reaches citizens facing genuine disadvantage.
- 4Address root inequality through stronger investment in school education, scholarships, skills, health and economic opportunity.
- 5Implement any reform in phases through consultation, constitutional process, judicial principles and fair safeguards for vulnerable citizens.
This petition is not against any community. It seeks an impartial policy review, better evidence and equal opportunity while respecting the dignity and rights of every individual.
