Donate only after reading this policy and only if you independently wish to support our peaceful civic work. A contribution is entirely voluntary. Do not donate because of pressure, a promise of benefit, an unofficial representative’s demand, or an assumption that we are connected with another organisation.
1. Our independent identity and official channels
Reservation Hatao Movement (“RHA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an independent citizen-led initiative for peaceful, democratic and constitutional public-policy awareness and dialogue.
Our official online presence is limited to the channels published on this website. At the effective date of this policy, they are: www.reservationshataomovement.com, Instagram @reservationshataomovement_live and X @rha_for_bharat. Unless a specific relationship is expressly announced and verifiably linked on our official website, RHA is not affiliated with, controlled by, sponsored by, or acting for any government, political party, candidate, NGO, trust, association, educational institution, company, other movement, influencer, fundraising platform, website or social-media account.
We do not authorise unrelated people or accounts to collect money or make promises for us. If a phone number, QR code, UPI ID, account or representative is not verifiably linked from our official website, treat it as unauthorised and do not pay.
2. Donate only if you genuinely want to support us
Donate only if you understand our independent nature and voluntarily wish to support this initiative. Registration, petition signing, public information and expression of support do not require a donation.
A donation does not buy membership, voting rights, employment, admission, reservation or legal benefits, access to public officials, influence over our content or positions, preferential treatment, goods, services, investment returns, or a guaranteed campaign, political, judicial or legislative outcome.
No volunteer, supporter or third party may pressure, threaten, mislead or promise a personal benefit in exchange for a donation. Report such conduct to [email protected].
3. How contributions may be used
Subject to applicable law, verified contributions may support website hosting and security, research and educational content, design and communication, public awareness, lawful outreach, technology and tools, campaign or event materials, professional services, compliance, accounting, administration and other reasonable operating costs of the initiative.
A general contribution is not restricted to one activity unless we expressly accept it in writing for that purpose. Priorities may change, and we retain reasonable discretion to allocate funds to legitimate movement needs.
Contributions will not knowingly be used to promote violence, hatred, unlawful discrimination, bribery or illegal activity.
4. Official payment method and safety
Pay only through the UPI ID and QR code displayed on the live page at www.reservationshataomovement.com/donate. Verify the payee name, UPI ID and amount inside your payment app before approval. Do not rely on a forwarded screenshot or QR code.
We will never ask for a UPI PIN, OTP, card PIN, bank password, screen-sharing access or a remote-control app. A UPI PIN is entered only inside your trusted payment app to authorise payment; it is not needed to receive a refund.
Your bank, UPI app or payment provider processes the transaction under its own terms. For a failed, pending, unauthorised or fraudulent transaction, contact that provider or your bank immediately in addition to notifying us.
5. Verification, acknowledgement and tax treatment
After payment, submit the genuine UPI transaction reference or UTR and requested donor details through the donation form. A form submission is a verification request, not proof that funds were received. We may approve, reject or request clarification after checking the transaction.
An approved downloadable acknowledgement records a verified voluntary contribution. It is not an invoice for goods or services, a government receipt, or by itself an income-tax deduction certificate.
Unless the donation page expressly displays a current, verifiable tax-exemption approval and the legally required certificate details, treat contributions as not eligible for a deduction under section 80G or any similar tax benefit. RHA currently makes no promise of tax deductibility through this website.
6. Corrections, duplicate payments and refund requests
Verified voluntary contributions are generally treated as final and may be committed to movement activities. If you paid twice, entered a materially incorrect amount, or believe a payment was unauthorised, email [email protected] as soon as possible, preferably within seven days, with the UTR, date, amount and explanation.
We review each request using verified facts, provider records, available funds and applicable law. We may ask for reasonable proof of payment or account ownership, but never a PIN, OTP or password. A refund is not automatic, and provider charges, settlement restrictions or processing time may apply.
If a transaction failed or funds were not credited to us, the bank or payment provider normally controls reversal timing.
7. Donor information, public recognition and refusal
Donor information is handled under our Privacy Policy for verification, records, fraud prevention, communication and legal compliance. Public recognition is optional and off by default. With express opt-in, a donor’s name, State and approved amount may appear in the supporter ticker; mobile, email, UTR and secure status link are not intended for public display.
We may reject, return where reasonably possible, hold for review or correct a record where we reasonably suspect fraud, impersonation, illegality, compliance risk, a false UTR, technical duplication, misuse of our name or risk to another person.
8. Questions, complaints and changes
For a donation question, correction, suspected impersonation or complaint, email [email protected] with the donation reference or UTR where relevant. Never send a PIN, OTP or password.
We may update this policy when our payment method, operations or applicable law changes. Subject to mandatory law, the version displayed when a contribution is made will guide that transaction.
